The CBP One mobile application was launched on October 28, 2020. On the Google Play and Apple App stores, CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) made both Android and iOS versions available simultaneously. This article will explain what the CBP One app is and how it can help readers access CPB services more easily.
CBP One serves as a single portal to a variety of CBP services, allowing users to quickly and easily access the features they want by answering guided questions.
CBP One currently offers two features, and more will be added over the next year.
Using the Inspection Appointment Request feature, brokers, carriers and forwarders can request an inspection of perishable cargo entering the U.S. in real-time. Furthermore, they can receive real-time updates regarding their appointment requests or chat with a CBP Agriculture Specialist if additional information is needed.
The I-94 feature allows travelers to apply and pay for their I-94 up to seven days before they arrive in the U.S. at a Port of Entry (POE). Additionally, CBP One allows users to access a digital copy of their I-94 and up to five years of travel history. The I-94 feature is a mobile version of the I-94 application process and information is available at https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home.
Over the next year, features will be rolled out for Small Vessel Operators, Bus Operators, Aircraft Operators, Seaplane Pilots, commercial truck drivers, and Commercial Vessel Operators.
Nationally, CBP One I-94 is available. Appointments for perishable cargo can only be made at participating Ports of Entry (POE). For more information, contact your POE.
What is CBP One APK?
CBP One is a mobile app that offers a single point of access to several CBP services. In order to determine the user's needs, the app asks a few relevant questions to guide the user to the appropriate service.
The app contributes to CBP's efforts to enhance legitimate trade and travel while simultaneously improving border security in the United States. In this way, CPS is able to provide some of its most popular services with improved transparency and accessibility.
Who Will Benefit From CBP One?
CBP One is currently available to users who want to:
- Schedule an inspection appointment for agricultural and biological products that have arrived in the country
- For foreign travelers who would like to apply for and check their I-94 records
- Organizations who wish to check the status of a person or persons in CBP programs.
- The app will be updated with more services in the future. The CBP One application will eventually be accessible to commercial vessel operators, commercial truck drivers, seaplane pilots, bus operators, and airplane operators.
Initially, CBP One offered two main features. The first is an Inspection Appointment Request for carriers, brokers, and forwarders, and the second is an I-94 entry for foreign travelers.
By using the Inspection Appointment Request feature, carriers/brokers/forwarders can arrange inspections for perishable cargo, such as agricultural products entering the country. The CBP agricultural expert assigned to each request will schedule the inspection time. This specialist can communicate with the applicant through the interactive chat feature in case more information is needed at a later stage. In the latest update of the CBP One App, travelers can schedule an inspection of agricultural and biological products when they arrive in the country.
The I-94 Entry feature allows travelers to apply for a provisional I-94 before they arrive at a land border crossing in the United States. An applicant who submits such an application before arriving will benefit from shorter processing times and expedited entry.
Using the app, travelers can also view their current I-94 submission for important information like how long they can stay in the United States and use this as proof of visitor status once they have arrived.
CBP One's International Organization feature is limited to organizations authorized by the US State Department as CBP One users to confirm the status of people currently enrolled in MPP (Migrant Protection Protocols). The U.S. government runs the MPP program to provide for foreigners who do not have the necessary documentation to enter or seek entry into the U.S. from Mexico to be returned to Mexico while their U.S. immigration proceedings are being processed. All new enrollments in this program were suspended by the U.S. in January 2021. Within a month, MPP registrants with open cases were being processed at United States entry ports while waiting for their hearing. In order to ensure operational success and safety, the U.S. joined forces with global organizations to verify MPP enrollment via the CBP One mobile app before these individuals arrive at American ports of entry.
Up until the release of the new CBP One app, small pleasure boats could report their arrivals via the CBP ROAM app. In early 2022, however, these boats' arrivals were transferred to the CBP One app. Therefore, you will no longer be able to use the ROAM app.
