Story
The story begins with the MC losing their cat. They become concerned about their disappearance. When they cannot find them, they look desperately into the forest near their house. After wandering for a long time, they stumble upon a fairy circle, where they pass out due to the spores after finding their cat's collar.
When they wake up in a cabin, someone with messy hair tends to them. In the course of their conversation, the guy reveals his name to be Mychael. With the horns, the green skin and the pointed ears, Mychael's appearance seems a bit odd to the MC. After showing the MC a picture of their cat, the MC asks Mycheal where their cat is, but he doesn't know. The MC seems touched by Mychael's willingness to go to such lengths to find the cat, and he is happy to talk with him. Mycheal uses his spores to convince them that they should remain while the MC tries to go home. MC and Mycheal are brought to the kitchen and offered food.
If the MC refuses, Mycheal will reluctantly let them leave, but as they walk, they fall victim to the forest's influence and pass out. As Mycheal walks, she sees the MC's body lying in the ground next to their cat, killed by mushrooms.
When they agree, Mycheal cooks something for them, and the MC eats it eagerly. The two discuss why Mycheal lives in the woods until the MC drops their mug on the floor, which Mycheal catches with his tail, revealing his four eyes. As a result, the MC may either freak out or remain calm.
Mycheal will become shy and hide behind his plate in response to the MC's words, saying he'd be willing to cover his eyes if the MC prefers. Mycheal is reassured about his appearance as the MC drinks the tea. The MC must stay the night with Mycheal.
The MC will try to escape if they freak out. Mycheal attempts to calm them down. It is either possible to take the sewing needles as a defense or to leave them alone.
Leaving them will cause Mycheal to grab the MC forcefully and use his spores to brainwash them into calmness. Despite the fact that he won't be able to love the "real" MC, he is willing to play along with the sedated and brainwashed version of them. MC is then brainwashed into believing that they've been with Mycheal all their lives by Mycheal.
When Mycheal takes the needles, he will release spores to calm the MC down, however, if the MC attacks him, the needles will stab his heart, causing him to fall down bleeding. Mycheal talks about how glad he was that the MC was there with him as he died on the floor. Regret is felt by the MC.
The artwork is WAY, WAY too pretty, from the backgrounds to the characters, it's just so cozy and cool. Mychael's design is pretty cool since I enjoy seeing unique monster designs and it's cool to see a mushroom based monster character. There is something so adorable about his four expressive eyes, and he has a cute expression on his face. Though, you have to admit, the creators have to pull at our heartstrings at the end where he dies, don't they?
