Rapunzel is the classic story for children, professionally narrated for an as-in-book experience. We have more than 40 children stories with morals in our mobile storytelling app Tales with GiGi, for kids who like fairy tales, fables, and parables. It was originally a German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. The tale is mostly known for the line “Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair”.
Story
Story about the most beautiful girl in the world with the longest golden hair, who is sentenced to a tower by an old witch as punishment for her parents' sins. She stands beneath the tower and calls out: Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair, so I can climb the golden stairs. Rapunzel would wrap her long, fair hair around a hook beside the window, dropping it down to the ground, and the witch would climb up the hook to Rapunzel's tower.
One day a passing prince hears the beautiful voice of Rapunzel and becomes curious about the person singing. Every time he returns to the tower, he catches a glimpse of the girl's beauty but can't find a way into the tower to hear her enchanting voice.
He saw the witch standing under Rapunzel's window one day, climbing the golden stairway. Waiting behind the trees for the witch to leave, he asks Rapunzel to let her hair down once more. He promises her he would help her escape when he gets to her and asks her to marry him. Unfortunately, the witch learns about it.
