The Squid Sisters APK are a pop idol duo in the Splatoon series, consisting of Callie and Marie. Splatoon introduced them and they play a major role in each game. Although they share the same name, they are actually cousins, not sisters.
Story
Callie
Callie's color scheme is magenta and black. She has perked-up ears and angular eyes, which make her more outgoing than her cousin. Her tentacles are long, black, and tie in a large bow at the back of her head. Their tips fade to pink at their ends. Often slipping innocent, straightforward comments into her comments with a grin on her face, she is very exuberant and positive. The song Bomb Rush Blush, a fast-paced and exuberant pop tune, demonstrates her energy and playfulness while running around the stage.
Marie
Marie's color scheme is lime green and light gray. Her cousin has more laid-back features, including heavy lids and drooping ears, while she has a more exotic design. The tentacles of this creature are long and gray, tied in a large bow on the right side of her head. They fade to green at the end. She is less excitable, smiling only small most of the time. Many of her comments are sarcastic, though never mean-spirited. A slow, serene song, Tide Goes Out, that features movement kept to her arms, is less energetic than Bomb Rush Blush's choreography. This is to convey Marie's more reserved and calm personality than Callie.
Splatfest
The Squid Sisters also host Splatfest events, a multiplayer event in which players from a region are divided into opposing teams. Callie and Marie each represent a different team. There was always a small bit of artwork to the right of Callie's team, and a small bit to the left of Marie's team at Splatfest. As part of the event, their clothes and tentacles temporarily changed color to match their team's ink. They performed a live concert on staging trucks in Inkopolis.
There was a pair of eyes across the top-left corner of the box that showed the player's Splatfest Power: players on Callie's team saw her angular eyes, while players on Marie's team saw her heavy-lidded eyes. The pupils on both versions were red instead of gold, instead of their trademark white color.
As the results of the fifteenth North American Splatfest, Early Bird vs. Night Owl, were announced, Callie became tired of Marie's attitude. As a result, the duo argued over who won more Splatfests before getting personal. This hinted at the announcement of the final Splatfest, Callie vs Marie. This last 48 hours, unlike the usual 24-hour Splatfest.
