Chelnov: Atomic Runner, released in 1992, is a platform game developed by Data East. Chelnov is a Soviet Union superhero with the ability to run at super speeds and absorb radiation. During the 1986 year, Chelnov must prevent a nuclear meltdown from occurring. After being released on the Sega Genesis, the game was later ported to the Sega Master System.
As the player begins the game, he runs to the right, avoiding obstacles and enemies. In the first level, the player must reach the end of the level before time runs out in a Soviet city. A forest is the setting for the second level, in which the player must reach the end before time runs out.
