The tapes are labeled simply by episode number without any indication of their contents. Riley puts the first tape in the VCR, intrigued.
The cartoon Riley sees is from the early 2000's era, which he's never seen before. There is a little girl named Amanda and her loyal yet shy best friend, Wooly the Sheep, in this video, which appears to have been made locally. The episode appears charming and simple at first, but Riley begins to feel uneasiness when she realizes Amanda and Wooly have been communicating directly through the television. Riley is compelled to continue watching the tapes in spite of a gnawing feeling in the back of her mind urging her to stop. It's almost as if Amanda needs something, and Riley is fascinated by finding out what it is.
