The application simplifies and automates the process of logging into a Cisco Web Auth captive portal, which is used by certain WiFi networks. Using an automatic login feature, the application can detect shifts in network connectivity and fix issues with captive portal redirection on a chosen WiFi network.
Devices that are rooted
During the automatic login process, the application can turn on or off mobile data on your phone automatically. In certain versions of the Android operating system, captive portal detection is built-in. This allows it to bypass detection. In addition to this, there is a manual toggle that can be used to turn the mobile data on and off.
The permissions
For WiFi scanning on Android Marshmallow, you will need to provide a coarse location.
It is necessary to gain access to the wireless network and alter its current state in order to complete scanning and activate WiFi.
During the automatic login operation, the password for the Web Auth portal is included in the HTTP request that is delivered. When the Web Auth service operates on an unencrypted HTTP connection, HTTP queries do not need to be encrypted. The server does not validate SSL certificates for this application.
