T.R. Emergency Call mobile application of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency. In case of disasters and emergencies, our citizens can access a lot of information, from meeting places to 112 and messaging with the AFAD emergency mobile application.
What Does It Do?
AFAD Emergency, developed by the Ministry of Interior to save lives and reach more citizens in disaster situations, stands out as a domestic and national application. It is extremely easy to access features such as one-touch emergency calls, the nearest assembly area, and disaster education videos in the AFAD Emergency mobile application, which features an intuitive design.
When emergency assistance is requested via the AFAD Emergency Call mobile application, search and rescue operations can be carried out since location information is entered into the system, even if the victim's phone battery runs out. Using earthquake data from the Turkey Earthquake Data Center, the application presents earthquake solutions to users. The "Earthquakes from Around the World" section displays information from CSEM and USGS.
There is an English language option in the application. There are also features for people who are visually impaired. The application "Did you feel the earthquake?" allows users to share information and photographs they feel at the time of an earthquake with AFAD when there is a magnitude of 4.0 or more in their area.
